As we look ahead to Season 3, Juventus are back in the Champions League after finishing in 3rd place in the EFL 1 table.
With the group stage draw on the horizon, the question on everyone's lips, is who will be drawn against who?
Season 1 saw a plucky Juventus team stumble to 4th place in their group, after winning the first two games. The group containing Arsenal, Bayern Munich & Burnley was just too strong for a young Juventus team and their season went from bad to worse as they finished outside of the Champions League qualification places and thus we're entered into the DPT trophy.
They were drawn into a group with Leeds United League, Bayer Leverkusen & Southampton and after finishing 2nd, went through SS Lazio, Brighton and Hove Albion and finally AS Monaco on their way to lifting the trophy but criticism came the way of Juventus with claims that they shouldn't have even been in the competition to start with, but the fact remains that they in fact were in the competition and they went all the way.
The Juventus squad has developed and grown in the last 2 seasons and they appear to be much better equipped to deal with Champions League life, but how far can they go?
We caught up with Juventus manager Andy Banks to find out his thoughts on the previous European campaigns and the one upcoming:
"We're looking forwards for the draw and then the games. We look back at the Champions League group 2 seasons ago with Burnley, Arsenal and Munich and we set off so well and then crumbled.
We weren't ready and maybe we shouldn't have been in the competition to begin with as our league form was awful all season too, resulting in the lowly finish we had.
Then we look at last season and after a slow start in the group stage we dominated on our way to the final and ultimately, glory against AS Monaco. The lads have grown and developed a lot over those 2 seasons and were definitely in the right company in the Champions League and we'll look to build on that and most importantly, stay in this competition as long as we can.
With the group stage draw upcoming, and a lot of good teams in the draw, we have a high chance of being drawn in a very tough group and we'll need to take things 1 game at a time and then should we make it out of the group, anything can happen in 2 knockout games.
We'll be aiming for the semi finals at least but it could well depend on who we face.
We know we'll face one of Leeds United, Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain or AS Roma so that will be a tough start."
